Skyfall director Sam Mendes has let the fans in on some more footage today. This ‘vlog’ is called “London” and shows off our favourite Double-O back in his hometown. The clip begins with familiar shots of the Big Ben and the streets of London as the iconic Monty Norman composed theme music of James Bond plays in the background. Mendes talks about his nostalgia with filming in the city of London and how Craig and him really wanted to make sure the film remained ‘British.’

Craig added that Bond “opens a few doors,” implying that the filmmakers had to obtain access to sites that would normally be off-limits to tourists and movie cameras. The actor revealed that they got the chance to close down White Hall, use a lot of Underground, even closing down a few Tube stations.

The footage shows the behind-the-scenes actions of what went into the filming of Bond in London. Dame Judi Dench, who plays M, adds,” I think it’s very exciting if you actually do go out…and shoot the real thing.”

Skyfall hits theaters on November 9th, 2013. I count down to the days that I can pre-order my IMAX tickets everyday.

Thanks to Hindustantimes for the heads up.
