Sideshow Collectibles has something new and exciting coming our way from a galaxy far, far away. Starting in October, with their first release of Darth Maul, our friends at Sideshow will begin exploring the “inner” lives of our favorite characters that occurred outside of the films. Sideshow has the first three statues in the series available for pre-order right now, but they ain’t cheap! Funny thing about this I just discovered that they have payment plans! I think my favorite of the bunch is the Ben Kenobi, who looks to be wondering the wastelands of Tatooine. One of my favorite things about Star Wars is the exploration of the expanded universe, it is where most of my favorite stories and characters have stemmed from. Here’s hoping we see a Grand Admiral Thrawn sometime down the road. Keep an eye on Sideshow’s website for release dates for the other two statues, including a very pensive Darth Vader.
