We saw a new, albeit bootleg version, of the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the other day; and it was amazing. It had a ton more action from the Heroes in a Half Shell and you saw your first badass look at The Shredder. Today, we’re sharing a high-res image of the fearsome foe played by William Fitchner.
I’m not sure if I really dig all the different knives, but he’s definitely pretty menacing. The samurai aesthetic is a very cool touch though.
Here’s the synopsis:
[box_light]The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.[/box_light]
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is due out August 6th, 2014. The movie is directed by Jonathan Liebesman and will also star: Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, Jeremy Howard, Megan Fox, Noel Fisher, Will Arnett and William Fitchner.
