Barry Allen is set to appear in 3 episodes this season, 8, 9, and 20. It’s probably the latter that we will see a certain accident happen and Grant Gustin be “granted” with the powers of the Scarlet Speedster. No word yet on when that will happen, or how it will be portrayed but it is being said that the show will hold true to its original intentions and continue the real world interpretation of these characters. Here’s what Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg had to say in an interview with Flash TV News!

Arrow Flash Grant Gustin

[box_light]“Barry’s such a different character from Oliver,” Kreisberg says. “Episodes 8 and 9 [of Arrow Season 2]… I just handed in 9… it’s been really interesting to write those, because you literally have those two characters in the same show. In some ways it actually may be easier because you can say ‘That’s something Oliver would say; it’s not something Barry would say. Barry has a very easy relationship with Felicity, because Barry is a forensic scientist, and he’s young, and he’s a little bit socially awkward like she is, so there’s a lot of fun with that.”
