Growing up in the eighties He-Man and The Masters of the Universe was one of the most influential geek properties that I am STILL into. Of course as a fan there was no way to escape the spin-off about his sister, She-Ra. While we patiently wait for some sort of MOTU reboot, new movie or whatever, Netflix has jumped all over the opportunity to make a new She-Ra series. Set to debut by the end of the year, She-Ra and The Princesses of Power has been given this official description by Netflix:

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is the story of an orphan named Adora, who leaves behind her former life in the evil Horde when she discovers a magic sword that transforms her into the mythical warrior princess She-Ra. Along the way, she finds a new family in the Rebellion as she unites a group of magical princesses in the ultimate fight against evil.

The cast was officially announced yesterday and we also got a great poster for the series, all shown below. Check back to DFAT for more updates and more!
