In case you’ve been living under the Misty Mountains and haven’t seen the trailer for The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey. It’s only slightly different from the original trailer, thus being dubbed The Hobbit 1.1., but who cares? It’s new Hobbit footage!

A new(ish) trailer for  has gone online.  As it’s only subtly different from the one that was previously released, folks are referring to this one as The Hobbit 1.1.  Regardless, I’ll take any new footage of Martin Freeman and Ian McKellan I can get at this point.

The film also stars Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, Andy Serkis, Luke Evans, Benedict Cumberbatch, Evangeline Lilly, and Stephen Fry.  The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be released on December 14, 2012.  Check out the new trailer below!

The trailer played in front of Pixar’s Brave is now online (via TheOneRing).  Here’s a look at where the new footage pops up, followed by the trailer itself:

  • 0:23 — Bilbo’s reaction to Gandalf’s arrival
  • 1:57 — Bilbo hiding behind a tree in Mirkwood
  • 1:59 — Gandalf, the dwarves, and Bilbo running through a forest
