As the first movie approaches DVD release on August 14, 2012, The Hunger Games news just keeps rolling in. Here’s the synopsis of Catching Fire:
Catching Fire follows Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) as they grapple with unexpected consequences from their joint survival in the Hunger Games arena. That includes: relationship complications between Katniss and her hunting bud Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth), underground rebellion forces in Panem rallying around Katniss and Peeta, hoping to bring about the downfall of the Capitol – and President Snow (Donald Sutherland) initiating even harsher security measures, so as to quell the unruly lower-class masses. It also has Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) getting ridiculously drunk and being awesome.
