It’s a little shocking that The Powerpuff Girls are 15years old. It’s even more shocking is that I used to watch them and still have a little Bubbles keychain on my backpack. I also still have a backpack that’s over 10 years old. Wow. Anywho, below we have our first look at the Cartoon Network‘s Powerpuff Girls 15th Year Anniversary Special, Dance Pantsed. Check it out!

Here is the synopsis from Cartoon Network’s press release:

In “Dance Pantsed,” why is Mojo Jojo kidnapping a mathematician, an opera singer and a badger? To steal Chemical X, of course, and to finally take over Townsville. But when the Powerpuff Girls thwart his plan, he invents an evil video game called “Dance Pants R-EVILution” to control their minds and bodies to fulfill his evil plot! The Professor must visit his dark dancing past to save his girls so they can save all of Townsville!

The special is completely in CGI, which takes a bit to get used it. The series creator, Craig McCracken, isn’t back for the special and instead we have Dave Smith (writer for episodes of Dexter’s Laboratory and Powerpuff Girls) to helm this episode. Ringo Starr is also providing voice talent as “Townsville’s most famous flamboyant mathematician.” Can’t wait to see how the final project turns out!

The Powerpuff Girls special airs on Monday, January 20 at 7:30 PM on Cartoon Network.
