We’ve been anticipating Guillermo Del Toro and Carlton Cuse‘s upcoming thriller, The Strain, for a while now. We’ve been getting teasers here and there, and nothing substantial. Today, we have another teaser, but a bit more footage to go off from. I know this show is going to have vampires in it, because I have the graphic novel. Why they refuse to show us this and play it up more like a medical mystery thing is beyond me. Meh, I’m still going to watch it when it comes this July to FX.

Here’s the synopsis.

The Strain will likely debut in July 13th, 2014. It’s based off the book by Chuck Hogan and Guillermo Del Toro. The show will star: Corey Stoll, Sean Astin, Kevin Durand,  David Bradley, Mia Maestro, Natalie Brown, Jonathan Hyde, Richard Sammell, Jack Kesy, Ben Hyland, and Robert Maillet.
