Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about getting people excited for an upcoming movie or television series; but the marketing for The Strain has been outta control. Little clips here and there, with no big reveal. It’s worse than American Horror Story; but then that’s no surprise, it’s on the same network, FX.

Today, we finally get a good trailer for the Guillermo Del Toro-produced tv show. Is it a virus that’s effecting people? Is it vampires? Maybe it’s a bit of both. Check out the footage below!

Here’s the synopsis.

[box_light]“‘The Strain’ is a high concept thriller that tells the story of “Dr. Ephraim Goodweather” (Corey Stoll), the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself.”[/box_light]
