Okay kiddos, in the middle of San Diego Comic Con there has been a ton of announcements and footage that we probably won’t get to see for months for the upcoming releases next year. But, that doesn’t mean that we don’t have a ton of other trailers and footage to show off for you geeks in the meantime.
Today, we have a look at the new Halo television series, some Ethan Hawke action, and Pierce Brosnan’s return to action. Check out all the great stuff below!
First up, we have the sequel to Hot Tub Time Machine. The first film became an instant classic by going back to the 80s and giving us all waves of nostalgia. This film goes to the future, and inevitably destroys what could have been a great franchise. Sorry guys, but you should know what isn’t broke, don’t fix. The next film is due out Christmas.
We showed you a trailer for November Man a while back, and the film looks like it’s going to be pretty good. I’ve been a fan of Pierce Brosnan for a long time now, and it’s cool to see his return to action. The film opens
I think that Simon Pegg is a pretty fantastic actor. I’ve been a fan of him since seeing him in Spaced, and though most of his roles have been comedic, I think he’s good enough to branch out. That’s exactly what he’s doing in Hector and the Search for Happiness and it looks like it’ll be a pretty fantastic film. It opens up September 19th in the states!
Let’s mix Ethan Hawke with time travel and see what happens. That’s the point of Presdestination as Hawke plays a man who is on the hunt for a mad bomber and must use time travel to do so. This just sounds completely amazing. The film has no release date yet from Sony Pictures.
Ridley Scott is known for sweeping epics and science fiction films. He’s taking those styles and combining them on the television series he’s producing, Halo: Nightfall. The 5 part miniseries will premiere on Xbox’s on November 11th in conjunction with the Halo: Master Chief Collection video game.
Finally, we have a documentary on what exactly happened with Tim Burton‘s Death of Superman film. Director, Jon Schnepp speaks with Burton himself about the proposed film that would have starred Nicholas Cage as the Man of Steel. The Death of Superman Lives; What Happened? doesn’t have a release date yet, but you can donate to get it to see the light of day HERE.
