Michael Bay is in the thick of shooting Transformers: Age of Extinction, and decided to share some more set pictures with us. Not only that, but he had some details about the tone of this film, compared to the previous trilogy.

“I wanted the first Transformers to be very suburban and less cool. This is a much more cinematic one. I focused on keeping this one slick. There won’t be any goofiness in this one. We went a bit too goofy [on the last one].”

I personally don’t mind when Michael Bay gets goofy, but that’s just me. Either way, I’m excited to see Optimus Prime and friends take on more Decepticons in the battle for Planet Earth. Below, we have the new images, one that is particularly cool, where it looks like Optimus has run over a Decepticon and left it’s wreckage in his wake! Check them out!

Transformers: Age of Extinction opens in theaters on June 27, 2014.The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles and Bingbing Li.
