Let’s take a look at what’s new this week on Blu-ray and DVD!
Moonrise Kingdom!
This weeks (10/16) big release in Blu-Ray is Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom. With hits such as Royal Tenenbaums, Life Aquatic and Rushmore, under his belt, Wes Anderson is one of my top ten director’s – and being that I didn’t get a chance to see this on the big screen, I have already pre-ordered it. Rumors have it, it’s great.
The other big release I’m excited about is James Cameron’s Avatar… in 3D. Seriously, Cameron basically made all 3D before it look like pages from a kids coloring book – so with my upcoming purchase of a 3D plasma, this is another exciting release.
This week keeps them coming with Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted (also in 3D), Chernobyl Diaries (which I kind of want to see as well), Adam Sandler in That’s My Boy (though reviews for this one were not so good), a full movie collection of all three Santa Clause (starring Tim Allen), and some more…
On the TV side of things, we get season 5 of the great Mad Men, and a Loony Tunes Platinum Collection: Volume 2.
