Welcome to weekly releases everybody.  This week we have some good, some bad, and some pretty ugly.

The good… White House Down starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx got pretty good reviews.  Nothing amazing, but definitely entertaining.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey gets released in an Extended Edition.  This is probably worth it, if you don’t already own it, because we all know the movie is great – though I do find it hard to understand how there is an extended version to a movie that was one hour longer of a short book… and its only part one of 3.  Whatever… I still love them.  Keep them coming I say.  Though I might wait for all 3 to get released with extended versions in a trilogy packet down the line before I do more purchasing.  Of course, the great thing about this one is a special release by Amazon which includes a limited edition Bilbo/Gollum statue… and that in itself might be worth it.

On the TV side of good, we get season 6 of Mad Men (great show), and we also have Doctor Who: Series 1-7 Limited Edition Gift Set, which includes unique Doctor Who Universal Remote Control Sonic Screwdriver, art cards, and a comic book.

The Bad… Grown Ups somehow gets picked up for a sequel in Grown Ups 2.  Despite an extended cast including Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Salma Hayek, this movie did nothing for me the first time around, and this second one seems to be no better.

The Ugly?  I shouldn’t even me mentioning this, but for all those who just don’t get what vampire movies should be about, we have a full collection of sparkly non-sensical, 100-year-old-but-still-wants-to-be-in-high-school, movies: Twilight Forever: The Complete Saga Box Set.  Which includes some extras I guess. %&#^ … Sorry, I just upchucked a little.

Anyway, next week we should have some pretty super stuff coming out (hint hint).  Until then.
