TUESDAY BLU’S-DAY: NEW RELEASES ON BLU-RAY AND DVD 12/25/12

Merry X-Mas Towelites!!!

Hope you are all enjoying the day, and if you’re actually reading this, it’s because you are relaxing on a couch, stuffed, lazy, or just plain old nothing better to do… which would be awesome.

Nothing is technically being released “today” so there is not much to report. Just wanted to wish everyone happy holidays and mention the handful of things that is worth mentioning.

Yesterday (24^th) we had the release of The Words, starring Bradley Cooper and Dennis Quaid. Don’t know much about this one, though it did look like it might be decent.

The 25^th is being postponed till the 28^th as far as releases go, and in that we only have 2. Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, and anime based on the hit video game (which I have the trilogy on my To Do list), hits the shelves.

Also, The Room, starring Tommy Wiseau gets released for the first time on Blu-Ray. I have never seen this movie, but I have watched the trailer a thousand times. I’m pretty sure this movie holds on of the “worst movie ever” awards… literally – it’s become a cult classic. Trust me, watch the trailer and you will die laughing.. and it’s not even a comedy. I actually need to see this (coincidentally, I bought this for a friend for x-mas a few days ago – on DVD, as I didn’t even realize it was being released on Blu-Ray).

Well, that’s about it as far as “new” goes. But, being that today is the day that it is, you may have ended up with a gift card or two; which means you may be planning on getting yourself a little something. So, in case you forgot, there is a great selection of movies out there for you – good, bad, fun, entertaining, guilty pleasures and ‘just-to-watch” :

The Dark Knight Rises, Prometheus, Ted, The Amazing Spiderman, Total Recall, The Bourne Legacy, Nemo 3D, Avatar 3D, Dark Shadows, MIB3, Moonrise Kingdom, and among others, one of my favorites for 2012 (along with being a spectacular 3D version as well)… The Avengers.
