Hello all,

This week doesn’t have much, but there are a couple interesting ones, and one that should be well worth it.

To start off, Mystery Science Theater 3000 XXVII comes out with yet another collection of hilarious B-Movie commentaries!  I haven’t seen any of these particular ones, but I’m sure they’re worth it (especially if you love the show).  This collection includes: The Slime People, Rocket Attack U.S.A, Village of the Giants and The Deadly Mantis.

Mystery Science 27

One of my favorite classic cartoons, Robotech, comes out with a 2-movie collection.  These include The Shadow Chronicles  and Love Live Alive.  I remember this cartoon being so awesome, as was a bunch of other ones those days (Thundercats, Transformers, etc)… man, those were the good old days; cartoons were so much better than today’s pointless ones.  Though I can’t complain much… today has brought me Futurama, Avatar, Korra, and more, so… they still have some good stuff here and there.

Finishing with the highlight of the week, director Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later, Slumdog Millionaire) brings us his latest film Trance.  Starring James McAvoy, Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel, this film flew under the radar in the theaters.  Boyle took a more independent approach in producing it (playing only for a short time in a hand select few), and I never had the chance to watch it, so I’m super excited for this.  Considering Boyle’s track record of awesome movies – not to mention McAvoy is pretty good too – I’m pretty sure this film is going to be great.  Reviews so far have been positive, so as you’re reading this, I’ll be on my way to the store to grab it.

That’s it for the week.  Until next time!
