WELCOME BACK TOWELITES!!! It has been a very long time since I have done anything with this column! February is the time of year when we start to hear about some major announcements about our favorite TV shows and some of the new ones coming down the pipeline. So let the ONSLAUGHT begin!!

Heroes reborn logoOver the weekend news hit regarding two shows that will be making a triumphant return! First up we have the return of Heroes, remember that show? You know the one that tried to cash in on the superhero craze when it first started?! Well NBC just dropped a teaser trailer for the upcoming relaunch of the series called Heroes: Reborn! Check it out!

Not that there’s much to it. Well the show will launch again in 2015, and will run for 13 episodes as a mini series. Tim Kring the creator of the original series will once again take the helm.  “We look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”, said NBC President Jennifer Salke. What do you think Towelites? In the entertainment world now full of DC and Marvel characters is there still room for Heroes?!

FarscapeBut the news that made me really raise an eyebrow was the possibility of another Farscape movie! We haven’t seen anything from this universe (besides a comic book run) since 2004, when the The Peacekeeper Wars aired. That movie was made as a “proper” ending to the series, that seemed to just abruptly end at the end its fourth season. The rumors for the movie are as follows. We may see Brian Henson direct the film with a script written by Justin Monjo, and here is the rumored plot of the film:

[box_light]Set to follow the awesome comics written by our favorite Keith R.A. DeCandido, the film would follow John and Aeryn’s son, D’Argo (or Little D, as we will always refer to him). Because their baby was exhibiting a set of interesting powers that made him a magnet for galactic villains, we find that John and Aeryn hide their son on Earth to grow up. Now the kid is 19 and ready to go into space with his parents.[/box_light]
