Walk down the right back alley at Toy Fair, and you may just find yourself amongst some of the best collectibles on the planet! Our good friend Zach Oat at Diamond Select Toys was gracious enough to give us a tour of the DST booth, and boy did we see some amazing stuff. From old lines that have updates, to a ton of new licenses, it looks like we’re about to see another HUGE year from Diamond Select!
Ghostbusters
‘Ghostbusters’ have been a part of my life since my childhood and these new Select figures that feature Winston and Ray are just epic. I was already a fan of their Minimates, and I hope they continue to put out more characters from these films in this 6″ format.
Slimer was able to get a bit of love as well, with an upcoming Pizza Slicer that’s dripping with Ecto-Plasmic goodness! Don’t Forget the Stay Puft Man as he gets another epic large scale release!

Universal Monsters
DST is also adding a partner to their Van Helsing figure that was released last year. LUCY WESTENRA is coming out this Fall and she’ll be the perfect companion piece to take on the vampire hordes.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I absolutely loved the first series of Minimates from the TMNT line, and I’m super excited to see them expand with new figures. This time around we’ll be treated to Casey Jones, Splinter, and more! The Nightmare Before Christmas
One of DST’s new licenses is ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’. I’ve been a fan of the Tim Burton classic for as long as I can remember, and these new Minimates are a tour de force in my opinion. So many creative characters has made them step out of their traditional molding and innovate new sculpts for this line. I hope it does really well and they can keep it up for years to come.
They will also begin releasing Select figures and the first ones will include: Oogie Boogie, Jack, Finkelstein, Mayor, Santa Jack and Sally.

We’ll be seeing figures from ‘Pulp Fiction’ that include the Pawn Shop and Bonnie Situation scenes. The last one is my personal favorite, and it’ll be great to see a Harvey Keitel figure.
Continuing with their popular ‘Sin City’ minimates, we’ll be seeing some new Black and White figures that include Dwight and Gail.

Speaking of inventive sculpting, check out the new Spongebob figures. I am not so much of a fan of the show myself, but I will definitely snatch these guys up. Just to see Patrick the starfish in a figure of that scale is incredible!

Predator and Gotham
Not shown are two new licenses that Zach was able to discuss and we were able to see. DST acquired the rights to put out ‘Gotham’ figures based on the hit television show. We will be seeing upcoming figures and Minimates from the series.
The line that I was MOST excited about though, was the announcement of ‘Predator’ figures. I hope that we can share some pictures of these guys soon because they are INCREDIBLE. ‘Predator’, ‘Predator 2’, and ‘Predators’ are all getting love with character such as: Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger), Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover), Cuchillo (Danny Trejo), a slew of Predators from the three films and more are coming out and I can’t wait! In the meantime, feast your eyes on a new bank!
