It’s been a hot minute since we had a Weekend Randomness article, but this week we’ve been inundated with a lot of stuff too little for a big article, and too much for a small one. So, alas, let’s get to it shall we? We’re going to be looking at some militant apes, Luc Besson‘s latest, why you shouldn’t buy on VHS, and much more!

First up, Mad Max: Fury Road is filming somewhere, with a release date of sometime. We keep getting glimpses that it’s getting made, but have no preview or talk with an actor in the film or anything. We do have a black & white photo of star, Tom Hardy, from the film. It’s most likely a photoshopped image.

Next, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is coming out this Summer and I can’t wait. Rise was such a solid entry into the series, and I can’t wait to see where Andy Serkis and Matt Reeves take the series. Check out some new images below!

Thanks to Empire for these images.

I’m pretty excited about seeing another Terminator film come to the big screen, and the upcoming Termintor: Genesis is adding another cast member. Dayo Okeiniyi, who played Thresh in “The Hunger Games,” will play the son of Miles Dyson.

There’s no denying that Luc Besson is one of the best screenwriters/directors of our time. His movies such as The Fifth Element, Taken, and Leon: The Professional have stood the test of time as being amazing action films. His next movie, Lucy, will star Scarlett Johansson as a drug user who develops superhuman abilities. Below, you’ll see the first image from the film.

Michael Bay is making sure that the fourth time is the charm in the upcoming, Transformers: Age of Extinction. The film is featuring everyone’s favorite Autobot, Optimus Prime, as he shoots dragons and rides on dinosaurs. The following image shows off the human characters as they run from their inevitable demise.

Finally, Samara from The Ring, is one of the creepiest characters in Horror, possibly ever. I remember going to a Haunted House a few years ago and they set up a room with the television flickered and an actress that looked like Samara came out of the tv. It scared the crap outta me! Now, you can recreate that magic anywhere you want with the new S.H. Figuarts toy. Check it out!
