Blumhouse has done it again with it’s latest release, a remake of Universal Studios classic horror monster, The Invisible Man. The film was written and directed by Leigh Whannel (Saw, Insidious) and starring Elizabeth Moss (Mad Men, The Handmaid’s Tale). On a budget that was more than half of it’s earnings of $29 million; its a big win for the studio. While it doesn’t tie into the ‘Dark Universe’ it likely means we’re going to see a sequel to the thriller.
The rest of the Top Ten stayed pretty much where it was at least week, with the exception of the other newcomer, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising. The animated flick opened to a lower theatre count but till managed to take the 4th spot and earn $5 million. You can see the rest of the Top Ten below.

Next weekend is the release of Pixar’s Onward. The animated flick is getting some favorable reviews already and I think we’ll see a shift in the Top Ten with it’s debut. Likely Sonic is going to have a ‘run’ for his money; but find out if I’m right on the next edition of Weekend Roundup.
