With the only big competition coming from the Melissa McCarthy comedy, Tammy, there was little doubt that Transformers: Age of Extinction would take the top spot at the Box Office this weekend. The film brought in another $36.4million, with Tammy coming in 2nd with $21.2million. That’s still a solid number for a movie that probably had half of that as the budget.

The other newcomers, Deliver Us From Evil and Earth to Echo couldn’t even come close to the two top spots; though Deliver did manage a 3rd place opening. The two films brought in $9.5 and $8.3million respectively.

Next week, we see Matt Reeves’ take on Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. It has high expectations, given just how good Rise of the Planet of the Apes was. The movie looks amazing and I can’t wait to see how it turns out. I have no doubt it will be #1 next week, but just how much will it make? Stay Tuned to DFAT to find out!
