In all honesty, it takes a lot to impress me game-wise. I’m an ancient curmudgeon that would probably rather play old games than keep up with the new stuff you young whippersnappers are into.
But hey, there’s a new Animal Crossing coming in March 2020.
Anyway, we’re in the present and there are games coming out right this very moment, or in the very near future, so let’s talk about some.
Citizens of Space has you collecting clues and finding Earth after it mysteriously vanished. It’s a primer for those of you who might want to instill a desire to solve the mysteries of the universe in the young gamers in your life. It is both cute and cool and I will probably pick it up.
For those who played Citizens of Earth, yes, it is a sequel.
Captain Cat is now available for consoles and the mechanics seem pretty simple – catch fish to keep the cat full and happy and you’ll win. It’s a simple-enough looking game with puzzles and whatnot, so if that’s your thing, it’s only $7 (for Switch).
