I really can’t wait to see what Matt Reeves does with the upcoming, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The film looks like it will ramp everything that’s happened in Rise and further serve as a bridge to the original film. Judging from the pictures below, the Apes are really not messing around, as this go around they are armed and on horseback. Check them out!

Here’s the official synopsis:

[box_light]A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.[/box_light]

Also, check out the new poster with Caesar (Andy Serkis) holding his child. I don’t think this dad is going to let the Humans come between him and his dream of an Simian Society!

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes opens July 11th, 2014. The film is directed by Matt Reeves and stars: Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, Judy Greer, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Toby Kebbell.
