The first set photos from Marvel Studios‘ latest movie, Captain Marvel, have been released. They feature star Brie Larson in the role of Carol Danvers and instead of her iconic Red and Gold suit, she’s wearing one that’s green. Before you fanboys get up in arms saying “That’s not my Carol Danvers. Marvel is ruining my childhood,” let’s just take a step back and point out some things.
Things we know:
- We know that the alien race known as The Kree will be the bad guys in the film. Their soldiers outfits feature a very similar color scheme to the one that Larson is sporting.
- We also know that early concept art showed an amalgamation of Captain Marvel’s iconic costumes throughout the years and more than like she will end up changing to that outfit in the film.
- Jude Law is playing Captain Marv-Ell and anyone who knows their old school Marvel, will remember that he also sported a very similar outfit to the one that Larson is sporting. Does she take on his mantle and his outfit before getting her signature one? Probably.
- Finally, we know that Kevin Feige hasn’t failed us yet and we should all just shut up and accept that whatever they are going to do, it’s going to be for the greater good of the story.
Captain Marvel is due sometime in 2019.
