Marvel has done a decent job with its past animated movies, they are no where near the caliber of what DC offers up, nor do they have an aggressive release schedule, mostly because they are putting out AWESOME live-action movies!! Nonetheless they are at it again and in 2013 we will be blessed with the latest feature starring Iron Man and the Hulk called Heroes United. Entertainment Weekly has provided some screen shots from the film which look to be very similar to the look of this past summer’s blockbuster The Avengers, but Marvel is claiming that it is not a direct sequel. Here’s a quote from Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel‘s animation department:

“We welcome people to interpret any way they like, in tone and character, we want to follow our best leader. It’s our hope that we will start doing more feature-length direct to Blu-ray and DVD stories. They’ll more than likely be in team-up situations. We find it works really well when we have big exciting adventures with two or more of our heroes.”

Heroes United will be available April 23, 2013 on Blu-ray and DVD and stars; Adrian Pasdar (Heroes) as Iron Man, Fred Tatasciore as the HulkDee Bradley Bakeras the villain Zzzax.
