We’ve long known that Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford would be coming back to the Star Wars franchise. It was just a RUMOR at the time they officially said there would be an Episode VII; but all of us fans had known that it would be a reality! Today, we’re happy to announce that George Lucas has gone on the OFFICIAL RECORD that the most beloved Star Wars characters would all be back to reprise their iconic roles.
So, what does this mean as far as a plot to the new movies goes? Well, it could go a number of different ways. We know that writer Michael Ardnt, is not going to write anything from the Thrawn series; but it could have to do with Luke rebuilding the Jedi council and having Han and Leia’s kids be the first ‘new’ Jedi’s. Only time will tell, but I’m super excited to see some of my favorite characters of all time return!
