It’s been a bit of time since our last happening for Trailers Galore, and a lots happened in that time. It seems that this week a ton of new trailers and footage dropped, so I should stop typing and get right to it!
First up is the newest film from Joe Carnahan, Stretch. It stars Patrick Wilson and Chris Pine and looks to be a weird and wild ride. I’ve loved all of Carnahan’s films up til now so I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us this go around. Stretch will be available on iTunes and Amazon on October 7th and on VOD on October 14th. Not sure why it’s not going to the theatres…
I love the Wachowski siblings and everything that I’ve seen from Jupiter Ascending makes it look like it’s going to be an amazing piece of Science Fiction. Channing Tatum as a space werewolf, Mila Kunis as princess, and hopefully Hugo Weaving as a Demon King. That last part has not been officially announced. The film comes out February 6th.
Big Hero 6 is going to make a splash at New York Comic Con next month and DFAT will be attending the exclusive panel. In the meantime, we have another trailer for the Disney/Marvel mashup film which opens on November 7th.
Kevin Hart is undoubtedly one of the hardest working men in Hollywood. From his comedy specials to putting out three movies a year, the man is on a role. His newest flick stars Josh Gad as a man who needs a best man for his wedding, enter Hart as the Best Man for hire. The Wedding Ringer opens January 15th.
It can be a little hard not to get typecast in a superhero film, especially when your’re the God of Thunder. Luckily, Chris Hemsworth has taken on films like Cabin in the Woods, Rush, and the upcoming Blackhat to make sure that he’s not just known for throwing a hammer around. The film is centered around the world of cybercrime and looks to be a decent action/suspense flick. Black hat opens January 16th, 2015.

Next up, is the return of Harry and Lloyd in Dumb and Dumber To. The film looks to bring back the magic of the first film and I’m really hoping that it does. The film opens on November 14th.
Finally, The Babadook looks to be a copmletely horrifying new film from Austrailia. It introduces a new character of terror called the Babadook that preys upon children. The film arrives in theaters and on VOD on November 28th.
That’s it for this edition of Trailers Galore, til we meet again my faithful Towelites!
