He boasted that he was “gonna wreck it!” and he was right. Disney’s Wreck-It-Ralph went on this weekend to take in Box Office gold, with more than 49.1 mil in revenue! It was really know surprise given the great choice in voice acting (John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch) and the fact that it had tons of video game cameos. Mix all that with Disney’s almost flawless track record, and it was only going to meet success. Coming up in 2nd with 25mil was the Denzel Washington movie, Flight. Though I have no desire to see a movie by Robert Zemekis that doesn’t involve fantasy/sci-fi in it, those are still pretty great numbers.

Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 were Argo with 3rd and first week opener, Man with the Iron Fists. I’m still excited to see that movie, and though it’s a modest opening, I’m sure the movie will have some revenue come in on DVD sales.

Next week, we all know that 007 will be bringing his charm to take over the #1 position. The movie has already made a staggering 287mil in only 10 days overseas. I’m just gonna make a prediction and say that Daniel Craig and Sam Mendes will be looking towards a 70mil opening weekend here in the states.

Stay Tuned next week and find out!
