You know when Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorcese team up and create masterpieces like The Aviator and The Departed? Well, Ron Howard and Chris Hemsworth have tried to do the same with their first film Rush, and the newest movie, In the Heart of the Sea. This latest collaboration has received horrible reviews and even worth Box Office success. At it’s debut this weekend, it managed to take 2nd place and bring in $11 million.
The real winner of the weekend was that Mockingjay, Part 2 continued it’s fourth straight weekend in the #1 spot. The film took in another $11.3 million and brought it’s domestic gross to over $224 million. The Good Dinosaur, Creed, and Krampus all stayed consistent and rounded out the Top Five. Next week, we know that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be #1 and hopefully destroy every Box Office record in existence. I don’t know if it will truly take out Avatar as the biggest film of All Time, but I think it may have a good chance to usurp Titantic from it’s #2 position. Just how much will it make on its debut?
