Very soon we will be seeing what Ryan Murphy’s messed up brainpan has cooked up in the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Asylum.  Entertainment Weekly nabbed some new pictures and storyline details for the new season.  Murphy and co-creator Brad Falchuck decided to leave sunny Los Angeles and head over to the East Coast, to the Briarcliff asylum. The majority of the season takes place in the 60’s. There are some SPOILERS in here, so don’t read/look any further if you want to go in with a fresh mind.

Sister Jude

Jessica Lange returns, this time she’s not a crazy house-wife, but a crazy nun. So..ya know, much worse.

Dr. Thredson

Zachary Quinto is also back as Dr. Thredson, a psychiatrist. He’s progressive style is bound to clash against the restrictive Sister Jude.

Ugh, Evan Peters is back. Honestly, he is a great actor and creeped me out on a weekly basis. Looks likes he’s causing trouble again this season as Briarcliff’s newest inmate.

Sarah Paulson will be playing a journalist named Lana, who investigates the asylum’s deadly secrets before she is betrayed and committed to the asylum by her own girlfriend.

Sister Eunice

Lily Rabe is another returner from season 1 and will be portraying Sister Eunice, Sister Jude’s right-hand-gal.

Monsignor Timothy O’Hara

Joseph Fiennes lands the role as Monsignor Timothy O’Hara, the object of Sister Jude’s lustful fantasies. As an priest, he’s probably hiding SOMETHING under those robes of his.

Dr. Arden

James Cromwell is playing the evil Dr. Arden. EW indicates that he could be a Nazi, but he definitely makes mutants that mess with the inmates called ‘The Raspers.’

In typical Chloe Sevigny fashion, she’s in the institution for being a nymphomaniac.

Adam Levine is not an actor, he has moves like Jagger, but somehow he landed this role. Maybe he showed his buttocks and took over for Dylan McDermott in that respect. He’ll be playing a character that visits the asylum during present day with his wife, below

Jenna Dewan Tatum  is Leo’s wife and will probably end up dead. Since that’s the shows “thing.”

American Horror Story: Asylum will debut on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 on FX.
