If you don’t want to know potential spoilers from Amazing Spider-Man 2, then you might as stop reading right now. Nothing is confirmed, and what I’m going to type after the pictures is all just speculative; but the photos I have pretty much confirm what I had been thinking from the beginning of Marc Webb’s production. Okay, here they are, I warned you.
In the comic, Gwen Stacey is wearing the same outfit as Emma Stone is in the pictures. She’s wearing this outfit as Green Goblin tosses her off a bridge and Spidey has to save her. He ends up shooting his web and catches her before she crashes to the ground. As he pulls her up, it’s revealed that she has died. It’s not known if it’s from the shock or if the web snapped her neck; all we know is that Gwen Stacy is no more. Web head yells at Green Goblin for forcing his hand, but he ultimately blames himself for her death.
As I stated before, this is all just my theory that it’s going to happen; but with the CLEAR wardrobe choice, and the introduction of Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, it seems that I am right. I think Emma Stone has played Stacy wonderfully so far, and I was hoping for inevitable end in the third movie. Unfortunately, it seems Webb doesn’t agree. Also, it’s not likely that Green Goblin will be the one that kills her, most likely it will be Electro (Jamie Foxx). Guess we’ll just have to wait til the final film to see what actually happens.
The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in 3D on May 2, 2014. We’ll keep you posted as more Amazing Spider-man 2 news comes here to DFAT!
