Just because you’re dead doesn’t mean you’re gone. James Cameron has plans to bring back Stephen Lang to the Avatar sequels, even though he was impaled by a giant arrow in the first film. I can’t say that I mind, he was an evil character, but did an amazing job as a villain. Check out what Cameron had to say on the subject of Lang’s return.
[box_light]“Steven was so memorable in the first film, we’re privileged to have him back,” director James Cameron said in a statement. “I’m not going to say exactly HOW we’re bringing him back, but it’s a science fiction story, after all. His character will evolve into really unexpected places across the arc of our new three-film saga. I really look forward to working with such a gifted actor, who’s also become a good friend.”[/box_light]
The Avatar Sequels will be shot by James Cameron, with him serving as producer along with Jon Landau. The script is being worked on by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), along with Josh Friedman. The film will also star: Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Sigourney Weaver. The first of the films to be released in 2016.
