DC decided to announce the inevitable standalone Batman film during CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The film will be set in the same world as Man of Steel and the recent flop BvS. 
Of course with Batman being one of the “better” aspects of the most recent film it will be nice to see this version of the character in his own film. With Suicide Squad coming later this year we will also be taking a dive into the villain side of things so by the time the Batman rolls around we may be in pretty good spirits. Let’s hope. It also looks as if Bataffleck will also be directing and writing the film. This I applaud loudly as the absence of David S. Goyer is quite appreciated. SO the next question is, when will this film take place? It would be interesting to see the story of Batman BEFORE the events of Batman v Superman.
