Nothing like some end of humanity news to get you woken up in the morning! Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is probably going to be one of those completely epic movies that  we’re all excited about, but it’s getting overshadowed by things like Captain America: Winter Soldier and TMNT. Well, from the footage below, I’m going to movie this up on my geekly radar cause it looks amazing!

Here’s the official synopsis:

[box_light]A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.[/box_light]

Also, check out the new poster with Caesar (Andy Serkis) holding his child. I don’t think this dad is going to let the Humans come between him and his dream of an Simian Society!

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes opens July 11th, 2014. The film is directed by Matt Reeves and stars: Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, Judy Greer, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Toby Kebbell.
