Dexter Morgan is upon us. Well, Season 7 is anyway. In this humble geeks opinion, Dexter is one of the most captivating shows on television. How often is it that you root for the ‘bad’ guy? Yes, Dexter kills only evil people, but make no doubt, that he IS a killer. And a vicious one at that. Last season we were left with Dexter’s sister Deb walking in on him as he plunges a knife into another victim. What does this mean for Season 7? What does this mean for their relationship? Does she turn him in, does she join him in the killing, does she profusely swear for at least 1 full minute? Well, that last one’s pretty much a guarantee. I love that filthy-pirate mouth of hers. Anywho, a few new cast members are getting added to the mix such as Yvonne Strahovski, Ray Stevenson and Jason Gedrick. You can see their pictures and others below via THR!
We don’t know much about the new season. There hasn’t even been a trailer yet. However, some plot points were revealed by executive producer Sara Colleton – including more accurate details of the new character played by Yvonne Strahovski. Beware of mild SPOILERS:
“She plays this woman named Hannah, who took off from this small rinky-dink Florida town and ran off with this older guy and they went on this wild killing spree. So when they got caught, she turned state’s evidence on the boyfriend, he went to jail for life and she started a new life. Years later, she’s in her 30s and she will intersect with Dexter. I would say Hannah is a still water that runs very deep and is quite unlike any woman Dexter has ever known.”
Stevenson’s character has been described as a high-ranking member of an Eastern European crime ring who arrives in Miami determined to learn who killed one of his associates – while Gedrick is playing the manager of a Miami-area gentlemen’s club that becomes linked to a high-profile murder case.
