Hey Towelites! With it being the Holidays and all of our regularly broadcast shows are on hiatus, I’ve decided to give you a Far-Back Friday to help get you through your weeks of nothing to watch. If you’re looking for an amazing show to hold you over then my suggestion is Orphan Black.
Orphan Black is about a girl, Sarah Manning, that finds out she’s a clone. She works with her “sisters” to try and figure out who made them and why. Aside from the fact that this show is one of the best I’ve watched, Tatiana Maslany is one of the best actresses I think I’ve ever seen. Not only does she play the majority of the characters on the show, five of them are main characters, and each one has such a different personality and look that you completely forget that it’s the same person playing all of them. You have Sarah the bad ass Brit, Allison the soccer mom, Cosima the science nerd, Helena the crazy Russian and Rachel the evil business lady. Not to mention the fact that she plays numerous smaller roles. Sarah’s best friend Felix is absolutely hilarious, and you will love him more than you love most people.
This show has action, drama, comedy, basically everything you would want in a television show. And, you have two whole seasons to watch before the third season starts in April on BBC America. Let me tell you, the twists and turns this show takes just keep getting crazier and crazier, so I can’t wait to see what happens next season.
I’m pretty sure seasons 1 and 2 are available on Amazon Prime. I know that they are on Comcast On Demand, but I’m not sure how long they’ll be on there for since they seem to get rid of stuff pretty quickly on there. No matter what though, you should find a way to watch it, it’s definitely worth your time.
