I can remember the first time I saw the Men in Black film in the theater. I had read a few issues of the comic book and was a huge Will Smith fan at the time and I couldn’t have been more impressed with it. Danny Elfman soundtrack, great casting with Tommy Lee Jones and Smith bouncing off of one another, creepy Vincent D’onofrio as the villain. And then the sequel came out and I was like ‘well that franchise is dead.’ The third movie was actually pretty good but I really stopped caring at that point.

Yet, here were are in 2019 and Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson are looking to bring back their charm from Thor: Ragnarok into another franchise. Unfortunately this is a Sony production and while there are moments that are fun in the trailer; my expectations are pretty low. Let’s just see how things take shape in the upcoming months before we see the full picture of Men in Black: International. The film is due out on June 14th, 2019.
