I’m a fan of Dominic Cooper. He looks like he has a good role in the upcoming Need for Speed film, he’s played Tony Stark’s father in Captain America, and I’m pretty excited to see him take on the role as legendary James Bond author, Ian Fleming. BBC America will be releasing the mini-series, Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond, and the trailer below looks pretty explosive.

FLEMING: THE MAN WHO WOULD BE BOND *** Premieres WED JANUARY 29 at 10pm/9c *** Only on BBC America. Presented by Dramaville.

Starring DOMINIC COOPER (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Devil’s Double) with LARA PULVER (True Blood, Sherlock), ANNABELLE WALLIS (Hello Carter, The Tudors), LESLEY MANVILLE (Maleficent, Another Year), ANNA CHANCELLOR (The Hour, How I Live Now) and SAMUEL WEST (Mr Selfridge, Hyde Park on Hudson).

FLEMING: THE MAN WHO WOULD BE BOND takes a no holds barred look at Ian Fleming, the man behind the James Bond legend whose real life was as exciting, eventful and sexually charged as his famous creation.

I’ve read a lot about Fleming and I somehow doubt his life was as crazy as it’s portrayed in the trailer, but I’m also a huge Bond fan and think this looks awesome.

Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond starts Wednesday, January 29th at 10pm/9C on BBC America. It also stars: Anna Chancellor, Annabelle Wallis, Lesley Manville, Lara Pulver, and Samuel West.
