HBO’s season 4 of Game of Thrones might be over, but with the show already picked up for at least two more seasons, the news never stops. And we here at Don’t Forget a Towel shall be bringing you said news.
As they prepare to start shooting season 5, location scouting has begun, and it seems they have set their eyes on Spain. This will serve for Dorne’s homeland, as we see them become a bigger part of the story next season. George RR Martin (and HBO in turn), has done us the favor of trying to lessen the already complicated story and characters, by bringing in the kingdoms one at a time so we have time to learn them. If you all remember, Westoros has 7 kingdoms and we have yet to be fully introduced to the southern most land, Dorne.
Dorne is where the awesome Red Viper was from. And with the unfortunate outcome from the end of season 4, you know there is going to be repercussions. Don’t forget, Tyrion (in an attempt to protect, and unite the families) sent Myrcella (Cersei’s daughter) down there. So there’s that too.
The photo above is that of the Water Gardens of Dorne, Alcazar. The palace almost felt like an oasis to the dryer and more desert-like lands around it. Now lets just wait for shooting to start and us getting more snippets and news on the production. Stay tuned for any other news that comes our way!
