Gangster Squad is a movie that I’ve heard about for a long time, but haven’t really SEEN anything in awhile. The studio decided to fix that buy giving us some new character posters today, as well as an all new trailer. The movie looks like it will be a good ‘ol violent time, and since I’m a huge fan of most mob movies in general, I’ll enjoy watching it. The trailer looks great and I love all the actors. Let’s just see how Ruben Fleischer, the man who brought us Zombieland and 30 Minutes or Less, handles the cast and the action. Check out the pictures and the trailer below and enjoy!
Synopsis:
Los Angeles, 1949. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and—if he has his way—every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control. It’s enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop…except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O’Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), who come together to try to tear Cohen’s world apart.
Gangster Squad has a January 11th, 2013 release date!
