Ghost Rider is trading in his motorcycle for a muscle car in the All-New Marvel NOW! series

So this is happening…

We’ve gone from Marvel NOW! to the All-New Marvel NOW! flagship and under that we are seeing some brand new books and reboots and whatever. Announced at NYCC this year, we knew that we would be seeing a new rider take the seat, a guy named Robbie Reyes, and now we get our first look at what the character is going to fully look like. Seems to be something missing, the classic motorcycle, instead it looks like the Rider’s choice of wheels will be a Dodge Charger. In what I’m sure will cause a ripple across the geeksphere, this is a major change for the classic character who has always been depicted on a bike, most of the time. While I am open to change, it’s not like I’m going to pick up this title anyways, I am sure there will be plenty of people out there fighting this for a while. Reyes is being depicted as a young high school senior from East L.A. who loves anything with an engine, so I am sure that the car won’t be the only thing he will transforming into his vehicle of vengeance! Reyes is also one of the youngest riders to date and this seems to be the push now for Marvel to establish these new younger characters as leads in their books. Look for the title to hit stands in 2014 with the creative team of Felipe Smith and Tradd Moore at the helm. Towelites, what do you think of the new Ghost Rider? Sound off in the comments below!
