We haven’t heard a ton of news for the upcoming ‘Goosebumps’ film, other than we know its starring Jack Black in the legendary authors role. Today, we’re happy to announce a few more casting additions to the children’s spooktacular film. As it stands, the film will star: “Veep” star Timothy Simons,e, and actress Amanda Lund. We also have news from TheWrap that Prisoners and Let Me In‘s Dylan Minnette, Devil’s Knot‘s Amy Ryan, “Workaholics’ ” Jillian Bell, Halston Sage and Super 8‘s Ryan Lee also star.
Here’s a brief synopsis:
[box_light]A young boy moves with his mother and sister to the small town of Greendale, Maryland. There, he meets veteran Young Adult horror author R. L. Stine, played by Jack Black. The infamous Slappy – a demonic ventriloquist’s dummy – comes into play and sets free the many many demons of Stine’s mind. Stine’s niece teams with the boy to put all the evil genies back in the bottle.[/box_light]
Goosebumps is due out August 7, 2015. The film will star: Jack Black, Odeya Rush, Timothy Simons, Amanda Lund, Dylan Minnette, Amy Ryan, Jilian Bell, Halston Sage, and Ryan Lee.
