It is with great sadness that we report to you that actor, director, and writer Harold Ramis has passed away. Best known for his work on Ghostbusters, in which he starred as Egon Spengler and also wrote with co-star Dan Aykroyd.  Ramis’ more than impressive body of work included Groundhog Day, Analyze This,  Analyze That, Animal House, Stripes, Caddyshack, National Lampoon’s Vacation, and more. The world has lost a true comedic genius today.

Ramis suffered from an autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels, which ultimately took his life. Our thoughts go out to his family.
