Why hello my Horror-loving Towelites! We have a new edition of the best Horror-ble News on the interwebs today and I can’t wait to share some of these amazing stuff with you. We have tidbits on Kevin Smith’s newest film, the final V/H/S, and more! Lets get to it!

First up, we have an update on the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Freakshow. They’ve added Wes Bentley to the cast as “Eddie, a dark tormentor from Kathy Bates’ past.” He’ll be appearing in the Halloween episodes that air on Oct. 21st and 28th.

Kevin Smith is finishing production on his film, Tusk. The film is due out this Fall and we finally have the first poster of the film. Pretty Toothy eh?

V/H/S Viral is completing the trilogy and making it’s way to VOD on October 23rd (My Birthday!). It will also have a limited theatrical release on November 21st.

Darren Lynn Bousman is most famous for his work on the Saw movies. He’s an amazing director and he’s taken his fantastic directing to Apex. The film will be a blend of “Call of Duty meets Predator.” The plot tells of a Special Ops team sent to obtain a WMD from North Korea that is transported to another world. The team then finds themselves pitted against a dangerous alien race.

Bousman sees Apex as “a love letter to the sci-fi films I grew up watching with my dad, such asAlien, Predator, Enemy Mine, Tremors. But I also want it to have the more modern feel of some of the recent video games I am currently playing, like ‘Halo’ and ‘Call of Duty.’”

This can be a balls-to-the-walls action fantasy and it’s franchisable outside of the movie universe,” said Bousman. “There is a whole world to explore with Apex.”

Finally, Freddy Krueger, for one last time. Robert Englund is making his way to Flashback Weekend this August in Rosemont, Il. The actor will be raising money for charity, and is donning the ratty, striped sweater one last night. Horror FX master Robert Kurtzman will also be on attendance applying the makeup.
