I’ll be the first to admit that I thought Interstellar looked pretty lame. Moses was raving on and on about how great it’s going to be and that Christopher Nolan is one of the best directors, blah blah blah. I love Christopher Nolan by the way, I have no bad things to say about him; it’s just that the first trailer never did it for me.

The subsequent footage that’s been released has done little to pique my interest past me wanting to see more Matthew McConaughy lose the weird dyed black hair in place of his redneck look in True Detective. Then the studio goes and releases the trailer below. Case closed, I’ll be there opening night in IMAX.

If you’d like to learn more of the scientific approach to interstellar travel, check out Nolan and theoretical physicist, Kip Thorne, talk about the film in the featurette below.

Interstellar opens on film in 70mm IMAX and 35mm on November 5th and everywhere else on November 7th. The film stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Michael Caine, David Oyelowo, Wes Bently, John Lithgow, Ellen Burstyn, Topher Grace, David Gyasi, Mackenzie Foy, Bill Irwin, Timothee Chalamet, and Matt Damon.
