Well it looks like we’ve finally got our Thanos. It’s not officially official as of just yet, but its so darn close that we might as well announce it. Josh Brolin is tapped to be the voice of Thanos in upcoming Marvel Studios releases. The actor comes as a bit of a surprise, after it was long-rumored to be Vin Diesel. Diesel obviously went on to voice Groot in the upcoming, Guardians of the Galaxy film.
Brolin will likely get his first speaking role in the James Gunn-directed space opera, and will be set to appear in other Marvel films as well. I’m not sure what his role will be in Avengers: Age of Ultron; but with all of the films centering around the Cosmic Cube and infinity gems, most likely Thanos is gearing up to be the Big Bad in Avengers 3.
If you’d like to learn a bit more on the character and it’s creator Jim Starlin, you should check out Doc’s article HERE. Thanos has an almost infinite power and has faced off against Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on many occasions. He’s also a central figure in the Guardians comics, so I can’t wait til we see him for the first time this summer!
