Last week, The Jungle Book completely obliterated the Box Office and it continued to do it for the 2nd weekend in a row. The film took in another $60.8mil and brings it’s worldwide total to $528mil. This was a much better showing than the #2 film, The Hunstman: Winter’s War. The movie took in $20.1mil, which is a fraction of it’s $150mil budget.

The rest of the Top Ten finished far below The Jungle Book as well, with Barbershop: The Next Cut and Zootopia taking in the 3rd and 4th spots. Given that they’ve already made their production money back, it wasn’t as big of a blow for them as it was for The Huntsman. You can see the rest of the Top Ten below.

  1. The Jungle Book – $60.8 million
  2. The Huntsman: Winter’s War – $20.1 million
  3. Barbershop: The Next Cut – $10.8 million
  4. Zootopia – $6.6 million
  5. The Boss – $6.1 million
  6. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – $5.5 million
  7. Criminal – $3.1 million
  8. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 – $2.1 million
  9. Compadres – $1.4 million
  10. Eye in the Sky – $1.2 million

Next week, will be another #1 for The Jungle Book. It still has no real completion until Captain America: Civil War; and the only real contender will come from the animated adaptation of Ratchet and Clank. The video game franchise has been around for more than 10 years, and it will be a draw for children; but just how much? Find out on the next edition of Weekend Roundup.
