black panther marvel

Doctor_StrangeAny news is welcome when it comes to throwing around rumors about Marvel Studios‘ upcoming Phase 3! Well Stan “The Man” Lee has something to say to all you true believers out there! Stan has come out and basically “confirmed” that Phase 3 will feature both Doctor Strange and Black Panther, two characters that have been rumored for sometime, with more movement on the Doctor Strange side than the T’Challa side lately. I just think its pretty exciting to see movement on these obscure hero types in the superhero movie genre. Kinda funny that B-Listers can get a film while WB can’t get most of their A-team off the ground. Whatevs.

“I’m not involved in those decisions anymore, but the people at Marvel are spending hours trying to think ‘what will we do next?’ and there’s a damn good chance that they will think of just what you mentioned, ‘cos it would be a great idea and little by little everything you want to see will come along, because [Marvel] are just like you, they’re fans of the stories and they’re trying to think ‘what would the fans like to see next? What would we like to see next?’ So they’re working on Ant-Man, they’re working on Doctor Strange, they’re working on Guardians of the Galaxy, they’re working on god knows what. And did I say Black Panther also. Those are the ones I know about and there are others that I don’t even know about, and shame on them for not telling me.”

scarlet-witch-quicksilver-600x450Joss Whedon made the interesting announcement that he would  be featuring twin brother-sister “mutant” duo, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch in Marvel Studios The Avengers 2. One of the most interesting moves that has happened in the comic book movie-verse of things. So Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, the children of Magneto, would be venturing over to the Marvel Studios side of things joining or facing their old comrades in battle!? But how could this happen! Fox owns the rights to all things Mutant! The internets have been a buzz lately with endless debates of how the characters will be featured in A2. Then came the announcement that the duo would also be appearing in X-Men: Days of Future Past, coming from Fox Studios! Remember a while back when we had this shared universe conversation, a connection like this could set it off. Imagine if the same actors portrayed them in both films… Anywho, head on over to CraveOnline to view their exclusive interview with Whedon. We actually live in a world where Quicksilver, one of my favorite X-Men characters actually, is going to appear in two films within a year of themselves.

Thor is just a season or so away. Ha, so November is pretty far away indeed! But don’t be afraid to go see the Mutant movie this summer! I won’t be missing it!

Stay tooned 😛
