Good job “fans”, this is all your fault! Since enough of you didn’t preorder the DC Universe Young Justice 2-pack: Superboy and Miss Martian, hardcore collectors will be missing out on completing the team! Here’s Matty’s kind response:

Toy Fans,

“Like you, we’re huge Young Justice fans. We watched the thermometer on the Miss Martian/Superboy 2-pack in the hopes we’d reach our production goal. The pre-order period was extended to 8/31 but even with the extension we didn’t hit the target so we won’t be going forward with producing the 2-pack. If you pre-ordered, look for your credit card refund in the next 7 business days. This doesn’t mean the end of our beloved Young Justice characters! We did hear from many fans that they’d love to see these characters in other lines (like DCU 6” in comic-book style). We don’t have anything to announce right now, but we’re always looking to make the best product possible and deliver what fans want!”

It’s ok by me, I didn’t collect YJ anywho, thought about picking up the Aqualad figure to go with my DCUC collection but decided against it, hopefully we end up with an updated Superboy at the DCUC level, BUT NOT losing an important slot to Miss Martian!

The truth behind all this is that the cancellation is BAD news for any hope of future pre-order programs. Before Club Infinite Earths “round 2” went through this year, there was a lot of talk and arguments about the usage of such a program. Here we see an example of how it wouldn’t work. Remember that fans.

Stay tooned 😛
