I’ve liked the work of Michael Giacchino for a long time now. I’ve always loved J. J. Abrams and one of the reasons he’s such a great director, is because he also has an amazing Giacchino soundtrack to go along with his work. Even more than Abrams though, has been Giacchino’s work on The Incredibles and Ratatouille. What he did with those Pixar films is that really made him go from a good composer, to a GREAT one.

I’m very excited to share that Giacchino has been announced to become the composer for the upcoming Matt Reeves film, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes! I’ll watch any film composed by Giacchino, espcially one that has the apes rising against the humans!

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes stars Andy Serkis, Judy Greer, Keri Russell, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, and Kodi Smit-McPhee. It’s due out on May 23rd, 2014.
